World Children’s Day

Today is World Children’s Day, a day dedicated to all the children of the world. But what is this day exactly about? The UN gave this definition in 1954: “it is a day to foster fraternity among the children of the world, and to promote their welfare through social and cultural activities”. Want to know how to celebrate this day? Read on.

World Children’s Day is a reminder that every child in the world has the right to protection, education and health, no matter which country in the world they belong to. On such a special and important day for children, Shuttle2Sun recommends some activities to celebrate with them in the magnificent city of Barcelona or on the beautiful Costa Dorada.

Virtual reality at Casa Batlló

Gaudí’s Casa Batlló provides the possibility of a family visit with virtual reality, and we can assure you that it is a visit full of magic and a few surprises. Thanks to virtual reality, you will be able to enter into the artist’s mind and see the inspirations with nature that he had in his works. The paintings will come to life, and you can take the tour with a video guide who will show you the context and the time Antoni Gaudí lived in.

Jumpland Adventure in Cambrils

Jumpland Aventura in Cambrils is a zip-line course with different levels of zip-lines and the youngest members of the family can enjoy an afternoon full of excitement and adrenaline. In addition, the facilities have a restaurant with a terrace where parents can relax and watch their children have fun. You can purchase tickets here

Do you already know how you are going to celebrate this day? Shuttle2Sun takes you from Barcelona airport, Barcelona port, Girona airport or Reus airport to your hotel or apartment in Barcelona, Costa Dorada or Costa Brava.
