What to do in Christmas on Costa Dorada    

The most magical time of the year is approaching with Christmas on Costa Dorada, and as always, there are a lot of events prepared for all citizens and visitors of this area, to enjoy a fantastic Christmas season. Tarragona  

If your destination is Tarragona, you should know that the city is illuminated with Christmas decorations from the beginning of December, and you can also stroll through the Christmas markets and crafts that are available. It is impossible that during your stay on Costa Dorada you won’t find a tió (a trunk that “defecates” presents) and nativity scenes, present in the parks and associations of the area. You will also be able to attend different Christmas activities, such as the Christmas playground, carol singing or the representation of the Shepherds. If you are in the area at this time of year, you can also go for a San Silvestre dip at Miracle beach on 31st of December and attend the Reyes Magos’ parade on 5 January.  

Salou  

Christmas in Salou is a fantastic celebration, with a large number of activities prepared for the youngest members of the family, as well as for the older ones. Among the activities that you can find during these dates, you will see the magical place, the living nativity plays, the workshops for the little ones, the Christmas songs and the arrival of the kings, among many others. Also, at this special time of year, don’t miss PortAventura World, located between Salou and Vila-seca, which offers a wide variety of shows for all the family with incredible Christmas decorations! 

La Pineda  

As every year, the Monumental Nativity Scene is expected to start at the beginning of December with a children’s show and the switching on of the Christmas lights. During these dates, it is common to have at your disposal various concerts and shows for all members of the family. Of course, there will also be the San Silvestre Swimming in La Pineda Beach, where you can try the Mediterranean Sea in winter, as well as enjoy a fantastic New Year’s Eve and the parade of the Reyes Magos on January 5th.
