Sant Magí

The festival of Sant Magí is a moment of great importance for Tarragona, in which traditional events are celebrated and where water is the great ally of its attendees, refreshing them and fitting perfectly with the good weather of the Catalan coast. You can reach this destination with Shuttle2Sun and our comfortable and low-cost transfers from Barcelona airport, Reus airport and AVE Camp de Tarragona station.

If you are in Tarragona between August 12th and 19th, you can attend concerts, theatre performances, some sports competitions, festivals, the traditional Sindriada (a refreshing evening with music and watermelon cutting) and the Remullada (where people are sprayed with water to the rhythm of the latest music), as well as the famous performances of “els castellers” in Plaza de les Cols at noon on August 19th, which create incredible human towers that make everyone speechless.

Nor can you miss the arrival of the Burfaganya water, the water of the town’s co-patron saint, Sant Magí. During the course of this event, you will be able to see how the carriers transport the water with horses and carts, arriving at the fountain square, where they will proceed to distribute the water in jugs. This event will be held on the 19th of August, with the journey finishing at the chapel of Sant Magí in the Portal de Carro.

Are you visiting Tarragona this August? Travel with Shuttle2Sun and make the most of Costa Dorada in one of its most important and refreshing festivals. Book your transfer today, we take you from the airport to your hotel or apartment in private service or shuttle bus!
