Barcelona is once again hosting its annual festival in honour of the patron saint of Barcelona, in which there will be a lot of activities prepared for all audiences. Do you want to know more? During these special dates for the citizens and visitors of the Catalan capital, there will be a lot of festivals, such as the Mercè Artes de Calle festival, which becomes a showcase for the creations of the city’s and international artists. You can also enjoy the BAM festivals, Acción Cultura Viva, Música Mercè programme and hundreds of other activities. In addition to these festivals, there will be all kinds of events for all sort of audiences, such as ‘giants’, dragons, fire beasts, Sardana songs, castellers (human towers) and street arts.

There will also be theatrical, cultural and gastronomic events in various locations in Barcelona, as well as the famous Festa del Foc, an event in which the “correfocs” will be the main characters in and around the Via Laietana. Also eagerly awaited every year is the Cabalgata de la Mercè, with dances by big-heads and ‘giants’. These events will take place from the 23rd to the 26th September 2022.
